Community Grants

HICEEC has two annual granting pool of funds.

i.   $5,000 a year to qualified non-profit and business groups in support of economic, social and environmental activities. 

ii.  $5,000 a year to qualified non-profit and business groups in support of Arts & Culture.

Applications can be considered at any time.  Applicants are encouraged to contact Karen Ross, HICEEC’s staff, at karen@hiceec.org to discuss their ideas prior to submission.

HICEEC also has MRDT Events/Sports/Initiative funding program.  Please see the separate outline for how this program is Provincially defined, and locally refined, on this website.

Beyond our own funding, staff can advise on other sources of funding that may be applicable to projects, including referral to the Hornby Island Community Fund, the CVRD Grants in Aid program, and other government, foundation, and private funders.
